Ruth graduated from the University of Brighton’s materials-based Three Dimensional Design BA (Hons) in 1998. She then trained with an established Brighton jeweller for six years before starting her own business, Ruth Bridges Jewellery. Working in silver and eighteen-carat gold she combines high quality craftsmanship with contemporary design to create distinctive jewellery.
Ruth draws inspiration from the natural world, particularly from rock formations smoothed and hollowed by time. The beautiful shapes created by nature contribute to the smooth, tactile forms that recur in her jewellery.
In her Lode collection, softly curved forms are complimented by the exquisite detail of tiny diamonds and contrasting eighteen-carat white gold. This collection is also available in eighteen-carat white gold with silver detail. Diamonds are of VS1quality and colour G-H unless otherwise requested or stated.
